Well, Kate Perry, the songbird known for her flashy retro style, didn’t have any trouble stealing the spotlight last night at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art . Her dress, a flirty ruffled number with a sexy slit up the leg, didn’t seem out of the ordinary at first, until it started flashing rainbow-colored LEDs. Designed by the wearable-tech gurus at CuteCircuit, the gown featured ultra-slim lights controlled by a switch hidden inside Perry’s bra.
